Pure Essence has become my passion and my staff shares the same vision. I have made many positive changes to Pure Essence to ensure that all visits will be most enjoyable. One of my goals is to educate and empower our clients to be part of the decision making process when it comes to their skin. We can easily discuss simple options, from skin care products to laser treatments. As we know stress is an enormous obstacle these days, I strive to instill total relaxation when you walk through the door. My favorite facial is the Repachage 5 layer and I love brow designing. I have a great family; three wonderful children and have been married for 25 years in October. I am a cat lover, love to cook and as a retired Yoga instructor I take classes stay in shape.
KATIE SWENSEN I have been with Pure Essence since July 2008. I got into the skin care industry so that I could make a difference in people's everyday lives. To me, there is no greater confidence boost than waking up with clear, beautiful skin. As a teenager, I struggled with a face full of cystic acne, and later, acne scars. I tried everything on the market to clear up my skin, from drugstore products to oral medication. With the help of two estheticians, my acne finally cleared and the appearance of my acne scars improved dramatically. I continue to research and keep up with the latest acne/acne scar treatments so that I can provide my clients with the most effective treatment plan. In addition to treating acne prone skin, I specialize in bikini/brazilian waxing and my newest service, organic spray tanning.
MARIANNE EXLINEAfter having worked at several spas in the area, I am proud to say I have found my home and couldn't be happier! I love providing exceptional, relaxing treatments for my clients with emphasis on anti-aging and repairing sun damaged skin to a healthy glow. My philosophy is to choose a simple, but effective home care regime for the client so not to be overwhelmed. In addition to facials, I also do peels, microdermabrasion, waxing, eyebrow/lash tinting and spray tanning. When I'm not at the spa, I can be found gardening, shopping and spending time with friends & family and our Westie, Mr. Barkley.
